I cleaned the window with an oven top cleaner kit, and it came pretty clean. However there were some 50~ year old water spots imbedded and etched into the glass. Looked at all sorts of solutions, and decided to try a product from Sud Factory. Amazing results! Not much effort, and looks awesome. pictures do not give a good idea, but they were there and now they aren’t!
CEROX 1663 from www.hisglassworks.com. If the glass is etched, only one way to get it out! They have a video on YouTube also.
I bought a half-pound, (about 1-1/2 measuring cups) It'll last me till the END! 3M also makes a quart-sized bottle of Glass polish with the same stuff inside. You can buy it on Flea Bay. You have to use a Rayon pad at high speed to polish the glass though.
If anyone thinks that they can use any grade of steel wool on their glass, just take one of your Wife's old compact mirrors and do your rub-job on it with your 0000000000000 Steel Wool and then go outside into the sun and look at the mirror at different angles. You'll see!
