I've learned my lesson; there won't be any more selling, only adding. :)
This one would have made a nice partner for mine, actually. Very similar cars.

Back in the early 90's, I realized that if I was going to move up to a better house & better neighborhood, I had to sell my two toys & parts stash, which I did. You'll get something else somewhere down the line.

My 68 Charger is a big chunk of my cash flow every month right now as well so I feel your pain. Mine was a now or never purchase when my buddy passed and his wife decided to sell it to me for a killer deal. Now I make payments to her for a few years interest free which isn't bad at all. Once it is paid for, it'll be my last project for awhile as a bigger house, wife, kids is all in the equation in the near future for me. I won't sell what I have, but I won't be adding or doing any big projects in my future. Maintenance and little stuff will keep me busy. I also realize I have way more than most and am very thankful for all that I was able to acquire while being single and having a great job. Now its time to settle down and move onto the next phase and just keep what I have happy and maintained.

A lot of us put a lot of sweat and devotion, not to forget cash, to building our cars that only WE will ever know when anyone else looks at our rides at shows and such including buyer's or flipper's. Some have photo'd the work like I've done that maybe someday I'll have time to look through and bring back memories of the hurdles encountered that have been forgotten. I posted about my 1st car that I sold to a guy in town that proceeded to trash the car and asked him when I saw it in a parking lot WTF have ya done to my car? He of course reminded me it was not mine anymore. Eventually found it in a dealer's back junk lot. Swore I'd never sell a car I loved locally again so I'd never see it. With mine now, I'm always interested in getting another neat car; but can't bring my self to let mine go given all the effort to resto it. Like it's part of me now and have it until I'm unable to as that will work out one way or another...

Buying is FAR more fun! I have sold my share. Always felt. "Well that's that!" Buying? "I'm going to go look at it again!"

Sorry to hear about losing the Roadrunner. Can't believe it sold that fast. Too bad it went to a flipper.

I can relate to,the sense of loss. I sold mine a few months ago and have yet to get over it. But when the time comes it comes. There are more important things in life than a car. Whatever price you sold it for was your price. Doesn’t matter if it was high or low. Just matters that you did what you had to do.

Flipper? WTF! I believe we need to all adopt the Jay Leno point. "If you are into classic cars to make money? You are doing it wrong!"

lol - I have to doubt Jay has much to be concerned about with his cash load.

                                cool deal

hope you got what you wanted for it

it's hard sometimes seeing them leave

usually a good reason to sell in the 1st place

I always have some sort of sellers remorse "years latter"

it's that Nostalgia deal I think, remembering the good
& not the bad or why you sold to begin with

good luck with your new place
build a nice man cave & get a nice car to fill it :poke:
