Im hearing more and more about these. Upon web searching , it gets confusing because i see quick fuel, brawler, proform etc. they all appear to be the same? (Im not talking about the chinese knockoffs for $188) lol

I currently have Atomic 1 efi system as was very excited to run fuel injection. For 6 months (off and on), ive been on phone with Holley who by the way are remarkable to stay on the phone with me for HOURS, trying to get the setup right.
Im frustrated enough to sell the efi and go back to a carb

I built my 440/493 in 2004 and immediately went with a Demon 850 vacuum secondary. It has been an excellent fit for me. I’ve had 6 different cams in over the years and with a jet or power valve change, I have been able to tune it to run great from 25 degrees to 110.
I do not drag race much but I have had it down the track a few times. I love street fun, burnouts, distance road trips and other shenanigans . I’ve had the car to 130 when I had a 3.23 gear in it.
In 2022 I had the engine out for a refresh. New pistons and a few other changes. 3 months ago I switched to a milder hydraulic roller cam. It cruises at 13.7 to 14.0 AFR, right where you want it to run. It had always been good to me.

I have a750 Holly Double pumper on one of my cars run very well starts falling flat above 5500 RPMs stock manifolds
The other car has a 950 race car headers and high compression bounces off 6500 rev limiter mileage sucks

For a cruiser looking for decent mileage, I'd use a 750 vacuum secondary. An AVS-2 would work. I'd probably run a Quick Fuel Brawler.
An 850 would give better top.end. But you said cruiser.
I don't have a stroker in my 62, but I use a race series 850 DP Brawler on a solid lifter 440. It's not a cruiser.

850 Edelbrock spread bore vacuum secondaries with choke for the street and you cover all bases, bottom end and top, cold starts and driveability. Have fun.

Not aware of any Edel carb that has vac sec......

The Edel 850 AVS2 800 cfm has annular pri boosters for better throttle response. An AVS carb that 'likes fuel' [ post #2 ] has a tuning problem, not a carb problem. Or just feeds a lot of cubes which makes it thirsty...

There is an engine builder down the street from me…. His recommendation is the Quick Fuel SS-850.
He doesn’t like vacuum secondaries and prefers positive linkage. My wallet is telling me an 850 Brawler, researching to see if comes with mechanical seconds and an electric choke.
As previously mentioned, this is a cruiser, but want good smooth acceleration. Didn’t know a “750” would work?

I ran a 750 double pumper on my 500 stroker. It ran 11.50 at 120 in full street trim.

Mechanical secondaries will push more fuel through the engine, something you neither want nor need for a "cruiser".

A carb doesn't push anything. There's just more fuel available " on demand".
