I’m trying to figure what what center section I have. My car is a ‘69 Coronet 500.
I can’t find any numbers on the driver side. I can only find these numbers on the passenger side.
I did pull off the gear ratio tag.. 2.76.

Is there anything on the other side? a big X for instance?

Yep, it’s the 1959-64 variation of the 741 case.

Is it even worth anything? I’ll probably just buy a complete 741 or 742 case with SureGrip and gears.

The first two digits in the part number "16" indicate that the casting was first used in 1='50 and 6=6 (LOL)... 1956! Doesn't mean the axle is from '56, just the casting design was introduced then.

I recently purchased a 57 Dodge Coronet Lancer restomod. Not sure if this was original to the car, but I take it that it's a 471?
