What did you do to your Mopar today?

I got the engine compartment pretty much buttoned up. Grille and front bumper installed. Still looking for a air cleaner base that will work with this Edelbrock carb. Time to drive it for a while.

was driving back from dundee in my hellcat, the rear end was whining more than usual giving acceleration to the point of loud, thought I must have done one too many burnouts. I got it up on the lift and drained it, looked like about 0w bullshit oil coming out, threw some tractor supply 80/90 and some friction modifier in it. drove it around today, nothing no sound at all, better than it was with 3k miles when I got it and better than my old 2015 H.C. was amazed. car has 17k miles. fixed for now.

Shoved the other axle in (passenger side), and set the end play... piece-o-cake. It was my first time doing it... I got a lot of help from older threads on FBBO (thank you @RemCharger, @pnora, @dadsbee, @Jerry Hall) I'll put my buddies dial indicator on it tomorrow, just to confirm it's in range.

Update: Put the dial indicator on it... it's right where it should be... .013

Well...I never put people back there, just equipment and sometimes dogs...so...I bought a sheet of MDF, and used some scrap pieces and found some scrap carpet...staple gun....spray adhesive...and took the back seat out of my 2001 Ram

It *looks* like a back seat but gives a lot more room. The seat was about 4" thick and the back was about 3"; now, the base is 3/4" thick and the back sits flush. Much more room, and i cant rip the seat (hadn't yet, but it was just a matter of time). And I hinged it so I can still use the bins underneath (tools, straps, jack, fluids, etc).

Replaced the right towing mirror, on my 03 Dodge dually.

Replaced the old worn seals in the 8.75 today. I didn't have a seal driver handy so I made one using a furniture disc glued to the bottom of a beer bottle. Yes, I drank the beer first Allagash Curieux... Good Stuff

cleaned under hood of my 99 Dakota SLT 4x4
still needs the 4" aluminum intake tube cleaned up more
& do something about the discoloration of a lot of the under hood plastic or rubber
still looks dirty after spraying it all off, need to do some scrubbing

that's for another day

I installed a voltmeter under the dash of my '67 R/T. I removed the ashtray and discovered that the bolt spacing that holds the receiver to the dash is the same as the meter bracket, so I mounted it there. As suspected, my battery is getting overcharged at 15 V. I would like to find an adjustable voltage regulator.

How long did you run it at the 15v? They all run more charge after startup, but as you drive and the battery fills up it will back off the charging rate...

I only ran it about 15 miles on a new battery that I charged up. I'm going to run it the way it is, for now and see if it settles down. The Wal-Mart battery that was in it was starting to warn me that something was wrong. I pulled the lids off the battery, and discovered the electrolyte was down to the lead plates. I refilled the battery with distilled water, and recharged it. A couple of days later, it was struggling to start the car again. The battery was 5 years old, and I figured overcharging it pooched it.

Overcharging didn't kill it, low water did. And time. 5 years is about right for a non-daily vehicle, especially with cold seasons like you have up north.

14v is standard charging voltage. 12v to run the show, 2v to charge with.

15v could be gauge error. Check it with a good quality multimeter, at the battery terminals. Regardless, I wouldn't worry about 15v. 18? Yeah, I'd worry. Even 17 would concern me. But 15....nah.
