A lot of things have effect on lube oil like he says. You want to remove the heat from
the oil and not disrupt the flow. The guy or guys that designed that rear cover for the
Dana 60 knew that they had to make the ring gear sling the oil all the way to the front
of the casting to lube the front pinion bearing so the clearance all the way around the
gear is kept constant. Banks makes kits to make more H.P. and torque. They know that
by making more H.P. and torque, they make more heat that they have to get rid of.

That is AWESOME stuff, and that is the kind of REAL info we need to make educated decisions on anything we do to improve performance.
