Pulled front seat out of my Duster and found this. Looks to be heated seat hook up. Is this factory or after market , I couldn't find anything on my searches. Anyone see this before . Looks like a fire hazard to me.

What year? That may be part of that one year only seat belt interlock system.

Interlock switch or the dash lamp that a few years had starting in '73. Not uncommon really.

That would be the factory seatbelt indicator/switch for both buzzer and fasten seatbelt light. It basically detects whether or not someone is sitting in the seat and if so, buzzes and activates the light. Should be one on both driver and passenger seat.

Just found out about the warning buzzer. The cars a 70 so I'm assuming the seat is a 73 up seat.

That's the PDS (passenger disciplinary system).
When your passenger refuses to put on their seat belt, give 'em a little jolt in the jockey shorts -
then ask again, sweetly:
"are you sure you don't want to buckle up?" :)

if i am not mistaken,if you un plug all those switches your can will not start, had those on my 74 duster, had to by pass and she would start.
