The blade is 1 1/4 inch across. It cuts, pull the trigger and it grabs

Dandelion puller..
That's what I use it for, but I never found any thing like you did. The third time a dandelion is pulled, it never comes back again. My front yard is not huge, so it works for me. I cut it just below ground level and get a nice chunk of root with it
 
It's not too different from the grabber I had to use after my hip replacements. :lol:
 
Being that dandelions are edible, probably best not to use as a pooper picker upper too...
 
I was thinking it might work as a campfire log grabber.
