Looking at re-pinning the door hinges on my 71. The lower hinges on mine have the "S" shaped spring - in other words look more like a '70 B body or E Body. Were they interchangeable? Does anyone have any idea what gives here?
The top hinges look to be correct when comparing photos on the web.

Correct lower hinge for '71?

I do not know if they interchange. Someone here will know. Here is what is on my 71 Charger's. This is interesting. One car has the s spring and one car does not. A number of years ago I bought a restored kit from year one but there was a larger core charge, so I sent my originals back when the new ones came. I will check the FSM to see what it says. The first picture is what Year One sent me.

71-8 B hinges are their own animal. Won't interchange with anything else.
71-3 used a coil spring and was change to an S spring for 74-up. The replacements had the S spring. Yours were probably changed at some point. If you don't care about "correctness" the later S spring is the better hinge.
I probably have cores of either one if you need some.
Moparleo builds them.

FSM shows the S Spring on both B Body and E. Just not sure if they are the same. Year One shows two different part numbers.

Here are some pics of a 71-73 B-body and the 74-78 B-body. The last picture is a rebuilt 67-70 B-body . The 71 and 74 will interchange but the 67-70 will definitely not work.
The FSM uses the same pictures in both Service manuals. They are the B-body front hinge. Same procedure to install and adjust so the same illustration is used.

Thanks for everyone's replies.
From above the following is what I have:

74-78 B Body Hinges.
Had a closer look at them today. 3 out of 4 have already been re-bushed - should be straight forward to do those again. The one that hasn't been re-bushed is the one that is particularly bad (lower right) - but in the end just 2 holes to drill plumb and square. Looks like any pin and bush kit for Mopar will work - such as Dorman 38382 or AMD X521-1000-S.
Unfortunately being in Australia it will not be practical for me to take up the offer of getting them rebuilt in the States.

I don't use bushings either. I use custom, oversized steel pins. They will last another 50 years.
