Whaty would I do? I'd paint the hood on the poser Hellcat and if those are the fake plastic mag wheelcovers, I'd ditch them.

The '71 is clean, but it's got two things wrong with it; green interior and it's a '71.

Here's the deal, a guy wants to trade the 10 challenger rt for my 71 383 roadrunner. Challenger has 72000 and is like new borla exhaust cold air intake signed by the king. Roadrunner I built myself and is a nice driver. What would you do?

The Challenger is a depreciating car. The Road Toad's value is steady. If you want a new Challenger, sell your car and then buy a Challenger. There are a ton of them out there & you'll surely be able to find one in a better color and with far less miles.

Two completely different vehicles. One new and modern and the other a classic and BTW your 71 looks awesome, job well done. So unless you want a newer modern car than i guess its worth looking into otherwise id keep the 71 and find another daily driver. Best of luck.

Those LX cars are like butt-holes. The 71 is a bunch cooler, and isn't a gawd-awful hi-impact color. Cool car.

NADA Says
{not sure what the 2010 R/T actually has}
IF Well optioned
the 2010 Challenger R/T Hemi {not a 6 banger} with 72k miles
retails for like really nice condition $17.5,
loaded, leather, sun roof, nav system etc.

for a ruff driver/low retail it's like $13k for the same car

most of the Aftermarket stuff
is to buyers or sellers taste, it's hard to put a realistic value on it,
many will say it decreases the resale values, that's for you to decide...

---------------------------------------------------------

{not sure what options your RR has, please don't take anything as an insult}
NADA says the 71 RR 383 4 bbl 300hp & a 4 speed with A/C
$12.6k low retail & a high for a great fully restored or really nice
value of $56k if really nice, an auto without A/C is like 25% lower
{I find the latter value $56k extremely high, maybe for a well optioned 4 speed &
maybe not for a green on green car, especially in a base
model
}

-------------------------------------------------------------

The lower "retail" levels of both match somewhat
$13k for the 2010 Challenger R/T
& $12.6 for the 71 RR, the RR will be worth more in time {collectable}
the 2010 Challenger R/Tis going down as we speak {just another used car}

Middle of the road value for a nice RR is more than the 2010 Challenger R/T

-----------------------------------------------------------

Opinions are like a--holes everyone has one !!

I personally Like the 71 RR better,
but that's me, it's your decision & your car, not mine...

Depends on what it is you want, you only live once
enjoy life while you can, don't sweat the small stuff,
you can get another of either...

I'm not really sure what your guestion entails.

Maybe swapping wheels?

Oh wait, did you just check "agree" in my first post?

Ain't maken 71 RR's anymore, still maken 2000 and whatever Challengers.

the price of green will stay steady or even increase as time goes on.
the price of blue will go down down down a long ways before its starts to climb.

First class response, you sir are awesome

Great response to my question guys. I am truly appreciative.

Another vote for the '71. I like the new Challengers but unless it was a brand new 0 mile Hellcat I would never trade an old car for it.

Another vote for the Runner....and I own a couple late-model hemi rides.
They're great every day cars, but the Runner is special and they're not making any more.
