Can anyone tell me what this wheel is, & if it's worth saving ....anything important?
This is 14" and it was the spare in my trunk when I recently purchased my '69 Road Runner. It had a Mickey Thompson tire on it from 1989 .... (tire unused with the sticker still on it). My car is on 15" tires now, so I replaced the spare with a 15" wheel & tire.

Road wheel.. The chrome ones are magnum 500 wheels. as far as what the numbers mean... your guess is as good as mine. The road wheel is a pretty common wheel.

So this might be an original wheel on my car as it came from Plymouth? Or no?
Are people looking for these, or no?
    “Toss it”?

No its most likely an original wheel.

Here are the wheel options for the 1969 belvedere. I see they had a 15 inch tire option for 1969 and would most likely be a magnum 500. But the roadwheel is a 14 inch wheel. In the second picture they mention 15 inch wheel/tire required for HD suspension and disc brakes. The code on your build sheet for 14 inch road wheels would have been W21. If you have your build sheet it would tell you the wheel option. Like I said it shows a 15 inch tire available but not the wheel. I can only assume it was the Magnum 500.

Here are the wheel option codes for 1969.
    W11 69-71 Deluxe Wheel Covers
    W13 69 Class 2 Wheel Covers

W15 69 Deep Dish Wheel Covers
W18 69-70 Simulated Mag Wheel Covers
    W21 69 Road Wheels

Just noticed that in the picture below the 15 inch wheel option would have been the recall wheel. disregard my above statement about the 15 inch wheel possibly being a magnum 500. But I read in another article that the recall wheel was recalled before it was put on cars.. However some may have made it out of the factory with them. So that leaves the 15 inch wheel to be a stamped steel wheel. No 15 inch magnum 500 wheels were ever put on a car in 1969

More info the other 15 inch wheel option would have been for HEMI cars and they were standard for the hemi cars.

As for Hemi-powered Road Runners, they received the more muscular 15 x 6-inch stamped steel wheels with F70-15 red streaks and hubcaps. There was little variation between model years, with the exception of the short-lived W23 15-inch Kelsey-Hayes Cast Center Road Wheels, which were recalled just prior to the official model introduction over safety concerns.

As far as I can tell they never offered a Magnum 500 chrome lipped wheel in 1969. There are other guys here that have more knowledge than myself of this. And they may chime in but this is what I have figured out with google.

I do believe that the only car with 15 inch Magnum 500 wheels would have been a Mustang.

Chrysler never offered the Road Wheel or Magnum 500 wheel in the 15 inch configuration. The 67 up to some of the very early 69 Road Wheels featured a chrome beauty band. The 69 Road Wheel is a one year only wheel in that the outer band is painted black and the center spokes are a brushed chrome finish. The 69 Road Wheels used the beauty band that clipped around the outer edge of the wheel where it sealed to the tire itself in four different spots. These bands bring a premium dollar in excellent condition as they are a one year only design.

In 1970, the Road Wheels changed again and featured a more polished center spokes. They also went with a different beauty band that clasped around the entire perimeter of the wheel.

I would say that the wheel that is posted is an original wheel to the car. Probably removed sometime in the life of the car and moved to the trunk as cars equipped with Road Wheels from the factory used a black stamped wheel in the trunk.

This wheel looks nice with no noticeable rust pitting and is probably not all bent up. I have bought them anywhere from $20 to $40 each depending upon the condition. The problem is that the shipping for items like this will cost as much as the product itself. Hope that this helps.

Yeah, “shipping” .... always seems to *double* the cost of lesser expensive parts.
Well, I’d hate to toss this to the junk pile, especially if it’s one of four that was original to the car. I have a rough looking, partial, build sheet for my car... I’ll have to see if I can find W21 anywhere.
Maybe I can find a 14” tire that would be close to the overall diameter of one of my [15”] front tires... then put this back in the trunk for use as a spare?

The only way you will find the w-21 code is on a VERY early production car. They were recalled before showroom debut of 69s.
When the recall were removed, most got 14" road wheels, per chrysler recall notice. Hemi cars got 15"steelies with full wheel covers. Hemi only 15 wheel covers are worth a fortune.
A12 cars also got 15s, with g70x15 goodyear red lines. Hemi cars got F70x15.

Info above indicates that W21 is the 14” Road Wheel

W23 would have been a road wheel code for 70-71 from what I see on the mymopar list.
