I am getting ready to purchase a set of Magnum wheels to have as an alternative to my steel wheels on my 69 GTX. I have read a lot of the threads here about wheel/tire combos already. I am leaning towards purchasing 15x7 wheels for all four corners. A second option would be 15x7 fronts and 15x8 rears. Interested to know who is running 15x7s on four corners and what tire combos you have with this setup? Alternatively, what kind of combos are being run on cars with the 7 and 8 inch staggers (front and back)? Pictures for combos are also welcome.

15x7, 245/60/15 front
15x8, 275/60/15 rear

Is the way to go, fits perfect, fills up the wheel wheels, looks great. Congratulations on ditching the steel wheels!

Or 225/70/15's on the front. They are a lot closer to the height of 275's on the rear. 275/60's are 28" tall, 225/70's are 27.2" tall.

I don't like the jacked up look. I like em low, but not lowered. I have 15x7 and 15x8 wheel combos with four different sets of wheels all with 235/60/15 on the fronts and 295/50/15 on the rears.

Neat looks! I'll show that to a friend. He's looking to get this '69 GTX project next. The owner said the rear brakes got some issues. We'll take a look at it tomorrow after we installed the bumper, winch, and truck parts on the Silverado.

One thing I did run into is, if you have a lot of backspace on the rear rims, be careful of disk brake calipers. I believe they use the same center for 14 & 15" wheels. I had to tweak my brackets to get clearance for 15x10 rears with 5" backspace.

I go same size rims on all four corners, 15 x 7. 225 or 235/70/15 on all corners and occasionally 255/60/15 on the rears.
