This is the one I was talking about. Relisted-

Pretty odd considering it's a "Coronet" and not a 440 or even a Deluxe.

A 273 is also pretty rare in a 1968 B body.

Looks super clean and straight.

You’d think a 68 would have a 318?

my old 68 Coronet (green) back in the early 90s was 2500 cdn about in that condition. With a 318. Time has changed value. I like those cars.

I'm not an expert on the rare or base models, but I have never seen a Coronet without the emblem on the interior door panel.

My reasoning is that the 273 must have been the base engine for the non-deluxe, non-440 Coronet.

I've also seen a 68 Belvedere base model 2D sedan with a factory 273.

Going up to the Bel II or Coronet 440 got a base 318.

Should be easy to prove on hamtramckhistorical

Aside from that black engine bay....

I'd drive it.

Looks like the correct "R" red.

Wheels work on it.

I like the base model lack of chrome moldings, too.

I'd have a hard time paying $17K for that. My gut says it's a bondo queen, no mention of rust or rust repair and new paint. I'd have to look that one over really good if I was a buyer. The rear window trim doesn't fit right, it shouldn't cast a shadow!! Big red flag.
