Simple task today was to switch two vehicles around. I wanted the Dodge Dakota ready to leave the yard in the morning rather than the Jeep Cherokee. As I began, I reminded myself not to forget picking up the small digital camera I had left on the rear bumper of the Dakota. I actually chuckled to myself a little as I recalled all the occasions in the recent past that I reminded myself not to forget to do something and two minutes later I had already forgotten.

Moved and parked the Cherokee out on the street. Moved and parked the Dakota out on the street. Backed the Cherokee into the yard. Backed the Dakota into the yard. Hooray, all ready to go in the morning! What a minute, wasn't I supposed to pick up the camera before I pulled the Dakota out onto the street? Feeling of dread ...

... walk over to find the camera still safe and sound on the rear bumper (got lucky this time). These little incidents are happening right and left lately and I can see no end in sight. I'm only 65, what will it be like if I hit 85? Hopeless.

Reached that point in life myself. It sort of creeps up on you and you don't realize it -
until you do.
Oofa...bugged me a lot (ok, it still does somewhat...) until I realized it wasn't part of
any expectations that I still BE here long enough to reach this point.
That makes it a bit easier to accept.
Easier - not easy. :cursin:

Yup, at sixty it’s happening to me, more extreme when I’m tired.
On one occasion I drove to the lumber yard, walked in, and stood in the middle of the floor for a minute trying to remember why I went there. No joy. Drove home with nothing, feeling depressed and old.

Like they say down under: "No worries mate". I'm 68 & it ain't great! Ahhhhh sweet senility! Just remember my motto; Ignorance is bliss! On top of the age crap, I work rotating shifts. Do you like sleeping during the day, working most weekends & holidays and having breakfast for dinner?? Welcome to my nightmare!!! :screwy: :drinks:

:elmer::eek:

Do you forget to put toilet paper in the bathroom too before you need it?

Asking for a friend :lol:

I'm not there yet...but I do force myself to put a roll on the stairway when I use the last of the upstairs roll, so I'm forced to a) pick it up and take it with me, or b) trip on it going up the stairs.

It's working so far...
