Will a Hemi fit?

Anyone know if a 426 Hemi will fit in a 74 Charger SE?

They sold third gen Chargers with HEMIs so I don't know why not.

I'm sure there are probably more than a few modification you will need to make to the suspension and power break boster mount for it to work.

Another thought might be a modern 426 small block HEMI.
Might be easier to stuff it in and it would weight less.

Thanks for the quick reply. I think 71 was the last year for the old hemi. I know the front suspension is a bit different, not sure what else. Not interested in the new hemi, don't want any computers or fuel injection.

yes, but you have to fabricate motor mounts due to the 73+ having the spool type motor mount. There is a guy in Minnesota who put a hemi in his 73.
