Window louver rebuild

Thought I'd post a few pics from the rebuilt of a set of original louvers. The center section was warped with sagging slats and the right side piece was cracked. I did a 2 sided mold of the right piece and completely remade the piece. Don't have pics of that. The center section was cut and spliced to get the correct fit and the the bottom was completely ground out and layered up with glass to get the curve. Hope you enjoy.

You have no idea lol. It took less time to completely remake the right piece which looks OEM on both sides, than it did to reconstruct that center section.

When I bought them in the 90's I only paid $200. But I knew the condition.

Nice job of saving them, Iv seen used sets for as much as $2500,when I bought my NOS set in the 80s I paid $400 everyone thought I was nuts.

Aw I remember the good ole 80's. In the late 80's I bought an NOS set of taillites and front spoilers from Dale Tuel at DalesD Cuda Shop, $35 for the front spoilers and 80 for the taillites. Bought a NOS 1970 airgrabber switch from him also for 25 lol.

Dayclona builds them, have you thought of them ? They're pricey and from what I've seen don't fit well but it's a start.
I have thrown around the idea but they are so darn time consuming.
