What's the best way to get the windshield installed?

Does anybody have a picture to share of how the window clips need to be installed?

What's the best way to install the rear window?

I'm looking for ideas.

These are the rear glass items you need. Including clips and the seal. This rear seal comes in different thicknesses I don't remember them off hand. https://www.ebay.com/itm/MOPAR-68-6...ndow-Glass-Clip-Installation-Kit/322137284065

This is the windshield kit. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1968-1970-...NNER-WINDSHIELD-MOLDING-CLIP-KIT/231910846813

Installing the windshield into the gasket is a slight pain in the butt. I installed the one in the roadrunner but it had leaks. They are resolved now but I cant be the one to tell you how to do it. Someone with more cars under their belt can help you Im sure.

When I installed the gasket I didn't use bedding compound. This was my mistake. You are supposed to use it between the glass and gasket as well as the gasket to frame.
I did the gasket to frame but didnt do the glass to gasket part. Water would build up at the bottom of the glass then wick itself into the car under and around the glass.
I used this and went around the glass. And you should use this from the start not after like my dumb *** did.

This thread may help. Scroll through and it shows the gasket installed at around post 615.

I thought the glass sitting in the channel of the rubber and how much of a pain in the *** it was to get in there would be a tight enough seal but it was not. That looks like a pretty good guide but do check out that thread I posted has some good info and pictures.

This picture shows the bedding compound under the rubber at the bottom of the glass. Which is one part I didnt do. Dumbass me. Borrowed these from that thread.

Rear glass install starts here... and includes AMD's wrongly profiled back glass find!

I will be pulling the windshield out of the roadrunner this spring and re doing it. I have to replace all of the windshield molding clips anyhow and thats the best way to do it. I have a new AMD windshield and new gasket as well. First time ever installing glass and I did it wrong. lol live and learn. I did save all your pictures to my computer for future reference. :)

So i'm going use sealer all the way around the gasket. And seal the window when it is installed in the gasket. After that I'll be putting some sealer between the outside of the gasket and the frame. Then all should be fixed.

I've got 4 pieces of stainless trim and two small corner pieces. Where do these smaller pieces (don't know the name) go?
I'm thinking they need to be used to connect the side trim to the upper trim.

This is a helpful thread here guys. Rather than starting another would like to build off this one. I am going to be doing this hopefully soon when I get my glass. I do have some questions.

Dick did you ever redo this window? If so how did it go?

1. What type of sealant/bedding compound do you guys recommend?
2. Do you seal just the gasket bottom to the car or do you seal all the way around both gasket to body and glass to gasket or only gasket to body?
2. Do you use the same sealant on the body as on the glass?
3. Can you confirm you mounted the rubber seal to the body first and with sealant? Do you let dry before installing the glass?
4. Do you fill the glass channel of the gasket with sealant then add the glass?
