When I did mine I figured that I would probably never live long enough to ever have to grease them again, especially considering how hard it would be to access them so once they were greased I took the zerks out, cleaned the surface with brake cleaner on a rag and covered the holes with a piece of that metallic foil tape that furnace guys use. You can’t even tell that I ever drilled a hole.
