Hi All,
I am in the process of making a stand alone wiring diagram of the turn signal/emergency flasher circuitry used in my '69 Coronet 500 just to make it easier to help me understand how it all works. Looking at my FSM wiring diagrams (8-106) I see that a single wire coming from the factory three wire splice (fed from the ignition switch) in the harness as D1-18BK changes to D2-18R at the turn signal flasher. It then exits the TSF as D1-18BK and magically appears at the turn signal switch harness connector plug as D2-18R. Not sure I understand how these two wires change color from one end to the other. I'm thinking that the wire designations may have been flipped at the TSF. Y'all think this is a misprint or am I missing something?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

The 69 FSM wiring diagrams are a nightmare. Good luck !!

Looks like a wording mistake. The two descriptions should be swapped at the flasher. D1-18BK and D2-18R were accidental put on the wrong wires at that connection at the flasher.
