Would 5.84" back space work on a 9.5" rim? (69 RR)

Still working on the rims and tires for my 69 RoadRunner.

From what I have read on here, a 10" rim will work if it has a 5.5" backspace.

I'm wondering if a 5.84" backspace would work on a 9.5" rim?

Any thoughts?

i got a 70 sport sattelite with 9.5 rim with 5.75 back spacing with no issues.

How much clearance do you have by the leaf-springs?
