Wrong ball joint?

I'm using a Just Suspension UCA with a standard drum brake spindle, do I have the wrong ball joint? It seems like the thread is a little too long for the split pin to go through the castle nut.

A "hardened" washer will fix your problem.

I agree with 493 Mike, When it comes to aftermarket parts,you never know what you will get. I've had the same and also the opposite and had to change the nut to a lower profile to install the cotter pin.

Will it pass tech inspection if I put a washer in there?

Many came from the factory with washers.
