    Sachs Front Shocks

ZF is a good company..... theyve made transmissions for a lot of stuff that may surprise some, including the 6-speed manual in early super dutys and even vettes, as well as many foreign cars.... of course, its just a name on some products. Hopefully a great shock for you.

440 Source vs Hughes stroker kit

Two things ill throw in...... Myself, Id lean towards Hughes instead of 440 source. If the car is "real" and has the original engine, i'd set that motor aside and start from scratch with an old c-body motor or something of that nature....then just use your original 6-pak on it. That idea might...

    WTB Aluminum center section

Im not too sure that piece belongs on a car.....maybe not the museum either, but if it were mine, I think it is best off "retired" to prevent potential damage. Coolness factor of "10", maybe even "11" lol.

    Subframe Connectors and unibodies

Im going to venture a guess that Pnora's frame connectors shown in post #101 above are probably stronger than both round and retangular versions by virtue of the continuous weld to the structural floor.... I would think this design is what the factory would have done, if they had deemed them...

    Identifying a 383

2468130 means 383 casting..... L.L. is there too. Its an early 383. The machine stamp pad could be ruined on any low deck block if any machining has been done.

Can this block number be right?

All 440 blocks are desireable. They havent made them for regular production since 1978. Maybe not a gold mine, but still desireable................

    How to destroy a 440

Doubtful any race car engine gets close to 400 miles (equivalent) before hitting the racetrack. I'd cry like a baby if my car came home with an engine lookin like that. BTW, agree 100 percent with the OP, the stock rockers are the first thing I toss in the trash.
