Bearing race spins in hub ??

That happened on my front disc brake hub back before repops were being made. Thankfully there was enough meat in the hub that a machine shop was able to bore it out and make a sleeve to bring it back to original diameter. Been driving on it for over 30 years without any issues.

    Random Charger picture thread

My old Hemi Charger that I restored at Mecum last night. It bid up to 180K & "the bid goes on". With the 10% Mecum fee, it’s just shy of 200K which in my opinion is more than enough. That’s a far cry from what the owner at Carlisle told me he paid for it ….. 225K and what High Octane Classics in...

    The Hellcat era officially ends!

There's definitely an appeal to having that level of I.C.E. power in a comfortable, reliable package... No telling when the feds will outlaw such things, either.

    Bought a new toy

Yeah, MTD has gone and bought up a lot of the old brands. When you go to the big box stores these days, most of those red/orange/yellow mowers they have sitting out front all are MTD units despite the brand displayed. They make the transaxles for MTD next town over from us (company is called...

    The Hellcat era officially ends!

I am accepting the fact that I am running out of time to finish them all. There is more to do than I will ever get to. Might be better to let some go and get something insanely fast I can drive now.

Might as well - we'll never see the likes of anything like them again in this lifetime.

I am seriously considering selling off a half dozen or so project cars and adding a redeye or superstock widebody to my stable.

The night a Super Bee scared hell out of me (Ed Story alert...)

Mini-Ed Story Time (with a question I've always wondered and hope someone can answer for me here): As many years as I've been playing with these critters, I know a LOT of you guys are far more knowledgeable than I at such things as how gears make cars behave... Here we go: There was an instance...

Good bye highway gears. Hello 3.55

I changed out Fred's gears to 3.55's when I got him to the point where I could drive him and that's fine - as others have said, 65 is about 3000RPM going down the highway in 4th, but he isn't a distance runner (least not, with all that LOUD 3" exhaust under there cooking the occupants...)...

How much carb is too much carb

So what about the question at hand regarding the carb. Said it's popping back through the carb. Man...you're 180 out. I've done it and it's happened to me more times than I wish to admit. Popping back through the carb almost has nothing to do with the carb. The firing order is all mixed up or...
