That happened on my front disc brake hub back before repops were being made. Thankfully there was enough meat in the hub that a machine shop was able to bore it out and make a sleeve to bring it back to original diameter. Been driving on it for over 30 years without any issues.

Yeah, MTD has gone and bought up a lot of the old brands. When you go to the big box stores these days,
most of those red/orange/yellow mowers they have sitting out front all are MTD units despite the brand

fine - as others have said, 65 is about 3000RPM going down the highway in 4th, but he isn't a distance
runner (least not, with all that LOUD 3" exhaust under there cooking the occupants...)...
So what about the question at hand regarding the carb. Said it's popping back through the carb. Man...you're 180 out. I've done it and it's happened to me more times than I wish to admit. Popping back through the carb almost has nothing to do with the carb. The firing order is all mixed up or...
