I've actually had to weld/lenghten the fork rod, depending on the exact clutch I was installing. Mind you, some of this was a half century ago, but it depends on the non-stock setup being installed. I recall a Cleaning Lady clutch I had to do just that.
Good point, plus fuel sitting in a partially filled tank with condensation over the winter ? On top of that, just bolting on a carburetor and expecting it to work ? A carb MUST be SET UP.
Since I've never changed or altered an odometer, it's possible to reset the number without disassembly with a neat trick. Or, it can be disassembled and reset. Again... I don't recall ever doing either method. The reverse drill method is very long and arduous... I've heard.
I know very well, seen Foreigner in person. I picked that video without looking/listening. Listening is all one needs to do for a great tune as that is.
Don't know why you say "just as bad" ??? The GM crap couldn't come close to the K-car and the derivatives. I worked on that crap. The Chevette was a better car than the Citation, and that ain't sayin much.
Escort, Tempo and Topaz ? Hold on, let me try to think of a worse POS. The Taurus (which we had, good car) did not arrive until 5 years after the K car.
"Waiting for a Girl Like You" is one of the best songs of all-time, in my view. With all their great hits and albums, I would've thought they'd be in a LONG TIME AGO.
