Project drive a wagon to Montana in July

Not sure what R/C is. The wagon is still in the works, life got in the way, baby number 3 is finally walking. I also made more work for myself because I'm switching power plants, going to be running a 5.7 Hemi with the original 727 push-button automatic.

    Minitub 65 Belvedere wagon

I snapped some pictures of my 64 330, but it should be identical to a 65. The plastic is the same basic shape as the metal on both sides. It would take alot to gain anything from it but there is space to gain from the outside while losing inside. If the springs move inside the frame rails, the...

Project drive a wagon to Montana in July

More not working on the wagon, picking up a car that a friend just purchased. Pretty cool car, this one got sold because the guy found its twin with a 6 pack, the scheduled build dates are one day apart from the same plant. Break out your decoder book.

Project drive a wagon to Montana in July

Photos of things. Donor floor, firewall, inner fender, frame rail, and cross member welded in place. Sherman Floor patch panels all welded in, great fit, great quality, great price. Made the small pieces inbetween the front and rear patches from flat 18 guage. Picked up a bead roller and had my...

64 Polara 500 "maybe big block"

I looked at a pair of 500's today. Both are minus motor and trans and fender tags, might have build sheets but there are too many parts inside them to pull the seats. One is maybe a big block car but I don't know how to tell without the tag, still does have a kmember though. I was told this one...

Project drive a wagon to Montana in July

Yeah I hope so. Current also looking for a 4 barrel for a poly 318 that I don't have to give my children for as partial payment. Also debating on cleaning up the engine compartment and relocating the wires and what not so it'll just be a nice orange engine in a silver compartment.

Project drive a wagon to Montana in July

God bless parts cars, some must pass so others can survive. Got the stuff needed cut from my belvedere and spent some time with the pressure washer and super clean. Great looking donor parts to get the wagon back together.

Project drive a wagon to Montana in July

The time line is a thing of the past. It was for this weekend and as you'll see from these it is in no shape to drive. Hard to see but the cross member pictured is not straight anymore. Did get my floor patches from rock auto, like the rears, hate the fronts, they don't look good and there is no...

Project drive a wagon to Montana in July

Well July isn't happening... it got really hot here the last month and being sick didn't help either. I was planning to just patch the floor but further examination found that it had been hit on the passenger nose and bent the frame rail and inner fender, cowl, floor, torsion bar crossmember, it...

Project drive a wagon to Montana in July

The wagon finally rolls on its own, no more locked up drivetrain. Got the car back at my house and it's stripped down as far as its going for now. The floor looks a lot better than I originally thought, might just make some nice functional patches for it. All the motor parts arrived, it was a...

WTB Station wagon tailgate glass motor

I have everything but the electric motor. Someone robbed that from the car long ago. My parts wagon had a manual rear window but the tailgate was empty when I got it. Hoping someone knows someone or some place to get one.

WTB Station wagon tailgate glass motor

I'm looking for the motor that lifts and lowers the rear window in the tailgate of a station wagon. Needs to fit a 64 dodge 330. Thanks.

Project drive a wagon to Montana in July

I really hope it's done enough to cruise to Montana in by mid July, especially since I picked this up from a classic salvage lot in the middle of the state that shut down a couple years ago . Got material ordered for the upholstery today. It'll look a little strange for the first outing as it...

Project drive a wagon to Montana in July

Another successful weekend in the books. All the rusted solid slant 6 running great is out of the way for the working v8 parts. Should be a roller before the end of the week and back off the lift, that'll make the parents happy. Got the motor pulled apart also. Already cleaned the heads up in...

Project drive a wagon to Montana in July

Made some progress over the past week. Big day planned for tomorrow but heres from the past week. Got the motor and trans out of the white wagon and most the parts the belvedere is donating. Still need the dash wiring, the power washer motor, and the power brake booster. Also spent about 4 hours...

"No, it's a '65. Right, that grille was only one year."

It is quite halarious what some people think they know about these old cars. All of them in the 60's were different, they all had different grilles and tails every year and they were different for each brand. Very little back then wasn't slightly redesigned for the next model year, weather it...
