Dan, I'm pretty sure that on the 67 and earlier cars with Tachometer, there is a sending unit mounted in the console or under dash. Do you have the sending unit ? Later years had the sender incorporated into the Tachometer....

For sale here is an original Mopar console tachometer with sending unit. Tach is beautiful, chrome and brushed aluminum are near perfect. Lens and face are clear. Still has original wiring attached. Has been tested for operation. Located in Friendship Maryland. I will have this at Mopar...
