    1968 Roadrunner grill question

Thanks, everyone, good info. It just looked like stainless to me. I was trying to polish with a wheel and different compounds, got nowhere. Now I know why, I wasn't getting through the anodized stuff. I have read that oven cleaner will remove it.

Is the grill and headlite rings in the '68 Roadrunner made out of stainless steel with an anodized coating ? I have been trying to polish mine with very little success. Thanks

Ok, now I see it. So this is how it was painted from the factory, kind of a semi-gloss black ? Thank you very much

    Column Shift question

Well I did check all of those and they are all good. All the movement seems to be coming from the shift lever or whatever is inside the steering column and I don't believe I want to take that all apart. Thanks

    Column Shift question

The column shift in my Roadrunner seems very sloppy in the column itself, everything in the engine bay to the trans appears to be tight. The shift indicator will move 1/8th to maybe 1/4" between the marks on the indicator, P-N-D-2-1 My question is, would it be a nightmare to get into the column...

    1968 Roadrunner needs something ????

The accelerator pump function looks good. I was wondering if I need a carb with vacuum secondarys ? My car is an automatic and I read that mechanical secondary does not work so well with automatic ??? . The carb is fairly new but the metering rods were changed because my mechanic seemed to...

    1968 Roadrunner needs something ????

My '68 Roadrunner has a 440HP engine (I believe around 375hp) that's running a little sour. It starts fine, idles fine, revs great from with good throttle response. But here's the problem, when I take off and hit the gas peddle down hard, it wants to bog and sputter before it takes off. It will...

    Leaking windshield again!!!!

Maybe it's not the windsheld. Could be coming in through the cowl or maybe the seals around the windsheld wiper things. If these seals were never changed, they will dry out and leak. Just some thoughts. My Roadrunner still has a leak some where that I'm trying to find. As for removing the trim...
