Thanks, everyone, good info. It just looked like stainless to me. I was trying to polish with a wheel and different compounds, got nowhere. Now I know why, I wasn't getting through the anodized stuff. I have read that oven cleaner will remove it.
Is the grill and headlite rings in the '68 Roadrunner made out of stainless steel with an anodized coating ? I have been trying to polish mine with very little success. Thanks
Well I did check all of those and they are all good. All the movement seems to be coming from the shift lever or whatever is inside the steering column and I don't believe I want to take that all apart. Thanks

Maybe it's not the windsheld. Could be coming in through the cowl or maybe the seals around the windsheld wiper things. If these seals were never changed, they will dry out and leak. Just some thoughts. My Roadrunner still has a leak some where that I'm trying to find. As for removing the trim...
