Okay here's my two cents worth! It's time you pulled all that back out and start from the beginning like you just bought it and maybe you
may have missed something such as wired something wrong somewhere. Then check the bulkhead connections examine one wire at
a time in the ignition circuit...
Thank you for the reply, and it only took 87 views to get one person to finally comment! That's good to hear that someone else had ran those two together with no problems.
Thank you! Dave
Hey Guy's,
My question is I have a Pertronix 2 coil which is rated at .6 Ohms, can I use this with the Mopar performance electronic ignition with the orange box? I have wondered if the lower resistance would cause the ECU to have problems with there being more heat going through it due to the...
Hey Guy's,
Where can I find a new vacuum advance for my Mopar Performance electronic ignition distributor for a 69 383? Also when you buy a rebuilt point distributor for a 69 383 where do they get the vacuum advances they put on them. I would like a new advance for my old point dist. I bought 2...
The horn relay wire will have a slightly bigger connector with two wires to it for the relay and will have two green wires coming back out and going to both horns. I just bought a engine harness for my 69 Superbee and there shouldn't be too much difference in a 68 and 69 B body.
Be carefull when purchasing these vacuum advances you may think it is for a big block but it will be for a small block instead. They will list the application for a big block and small block but their different. The way you can tell is a small advance enters the distributor from the left side...
Go here and scroll down and see if any of these will fit your distributor.

Believe this or not but I found this. Make sure no wires are hooked up to the dual field alt. Take your ohm tester and check from one field on the alt. to ground. One field will have continuity and the other one won't. The one that has cont. from the connector on the alt to ground on the alt...
Were you rotating the distributor retart then advance while you were cranking the engine? Or just positioning the dist. in one area then cranking it over?
The big block dist. advance tang goes around counter clockwise and the small block adv. tang goes around clockwise? I think! this is where it hooks into the advance plate.
That first video I agree sounded like it may have started if you would have just move the distributor a little advanced or retarted while cranking it over it may have started.
