55 Chrysler New Yorker

I purchased this 55 New Yorker this summer. It was located in field in western Oregon and trailered back to Independence MO and brought back to life. It is 100% original with no rust or body damage.

About this Mopar:

Year
1955
Make
Chrysler
Model
New Yorker
This car has PS, PB, electric windows, electric seats (not working), 331 hemi w/4bbl carter carb, very large steering wheel, 2sp power flight transmission. Total interior has been replaced, has padded dash, am radio (works), everything on this car works except the clock and power seats. I purchased is on BAT and drove to Independence MO and drove it back home (500 miles) with no problems! This car is a real head turner every where I go.

Well I'm a Mopar fan and drive only Mopar but have a special place in my heart for the 55 New Yorker as my father had a 2 tone green one when I was 7 years old.
You have a nice example!
Thanks for the memories.

Is it possible that may have been a 300 series Chrysler? I remember they used an Imperial grille and a few other changes. I thought 55 Chrysler had smaller tailights and had the bigger ones on the Imperial. It was the first year and I think it was called a C300. Next year, 56, started using the alphabet with B.

Wow, that is beautiful. Reminds me of my father's old cars when I was a kid. He had a 48 Plymouth & 59? Desoto. Best of luck with it!
That reminds me, during those days our neighbor next door had a Dodge Royal which was very similar to your Chrysler. Brings back memories as my father's car was stuck in the snow & they drove my mother to the hospital to give birth to one of my younger brothers way back then. I recall that it was about 10 degrees out that night & snowing like hell! Ahhh memories! :)
