1970 Pistol Grip Questions

[Scott 70 GTX]

I have a 70 RR with a 440 and 4 speed trans, I need a shifter assembly for it.
I’m not sure if it had a console or not.
What’s the differences between a console or non-console shifters. Are there any good new aftermarket shifters with a pistol grip. They are the coolest shifter ever.

Get a Hurst Compertition Plus mechanism, and the pistol grip handle w/o console. I only have/had OEM, so I can't comment about the quality of the repro handles.

The only difference between console and non console is the actual shift handle. The console handle has a big bow in it so it aligns correctly in the center console if you have a center console.
