22" vs 26" radiator ....

Jim---- need I say more?LMAO

I have the Champion 22 inch in the 22 core support with a factory 7 blade and thermal factory clutch no shroud. 195 stat and runs at 190 here in the cool PNW. Will put it to the test in Reno for Hot August Nights. 440-727 no A/C. Wish me luck. Summit is there so I might pick up a shroud though.

So I ended up with a 26" ecp radiator. Looks to be a well made unit, however the packaging needs serious attention. Both bottom mount slots were pushed in and the left side shroud bracket was also bent, nothing i couldn't take Care of but still not something you'd be happy to find after opening the box ! I did cut my support opening because with the factory 22" opening the tank was hitting the factory ridge for the bolt and the radiator was cocked inward on the pass side. Fan shroud mount will not accept factory shroud without drilling new holes, even though they advertise direct fit ! I used the shroud as a template and proceeded to cut away the excess material so the radiator would fit between the frame rails ! After all that mess, I shot it with Eastwood radiator paint, added a new HD clutch and powder coated the fan. All in all I think it's a decent piece just be prepared to do some "massaging" .... hopefully I get a few good drives this week and see a noticeable temp difference ...
