4 speed question

From the looks of the dogs on your 4th gear you need to replace the input shaft for sure.
Maybe get it all disassembled and cleaned and post the pics of the dog teeth on all the gears. Follow the service manual to disassemble and you will be fine. By the way do all the gears look good on the counter shaft cluster?

yes the cluster gear looks good
 
Good deal bust it all apart and we’ll go there.
 
You're not looking at the right part of the syncro assy to determine if its bad. You have to look at the teeth on the slider - those are the ones that engage the teeth on the gear.

I will as soon I tear it all down
 
Pretty hard to tell from the pictures but if the dog teeth on the input are mangled, it's probably a good conclusion that's a lot of the problem.
