but it's a 318 car, it does have A/C
& two tons of RUST

The '68 Grille is a pricey piece. I wonder what is on this car that is NOT available in a reproduction?
$5000 got me THIS:

It did come with fenders, hood, grille and bumper....AND the original 383!

Facebook is hard for me to navigate, it's like a maze for me, I'm lost. I couldn't find that one on Facebook, but I did find this '69 slant 6 Charger. It's sold and he claims he was offered $7K and it was listed for $9500.

From the pics of the '68 Charger you posted, here's what I think some of the bigger $$ parts might be worth in the condition they're in:

A/C Rallye Dash: $5-600
Bucket Seats/Tracks: $5-600
1968 Grille: $1,000-up
Woodgrain Steering wheel: $50
Console/Shifter/Linkage: $3-400
Taillights, moulding, glass, engine/trans, plus lots of little things: $$$

Hell, the 216 clutch fan sells for over $100 on eBay, and they're being reproduced. But I think the car is worth more whole, plus it's MUCH easier to sell as you're only dealing with one person, and no shipping!! Haven't we determined there are no such things as 68-70 Charger parts cars anymore?

It's going to take between 8 and 12 beers to talk yourself into that.
Drag it home , wash it , get some tires under it. Then after you decide you messed up list it and hope you get your 5 back.

I sold a pair of unrestored ratty 1969 Charger seats 10 years ago for $350. The prices have only gone up since then. How much do you think a set of 68 b body bucket seats go for?

I know they are cheap.
Bought mine for $200 at a swap meet a couple of years ago, these are actually usable. Bought a set of 67GTX seats for $175, flipped them the same day for $400...Also have a pair of 67 GTS buckets I got dirt cheap...Ebay is not a good measure of OE retail for items like these though...

If you bought second gen. Chargers, complete, pour some gas in the carb. and it comes to life, for a second,..... back in the 90's for $1000, it is hard to pay $5000 for a compete turd TODAY!!! I just have to laugh!
