71-72 b-body weight?

I've seen curb weight figures around 3600lbs, that would be with fluids and 1/2 a tank of gas. My question is if this is true assuming the b-body is equipped with a small block.

All steel body. Has an Alterkation front suspension and a street Lynx 4 link in the rear as well as a 6 point roll bar. Car is 4100 with me in it. Would like to shed 500 pounds but tough to do in a car so big.
