Looks like you went for a blast down the road with the hood not fastened correctly. So this happened about 6 months ago, but I just blacked it out of my mind. Now I'm ready to look into fixing it and wanted some opinions.

Oh man....no one but no one sat on my cars. Had a step daughter that thought sitting on cars was cool and the 3rd time seeing her doing it I walked up to her nice and calm and got in her face and quietly told her that if I ever again caught her sitting on one of our cars I would beat her until she couldn't sit down. She was around 14 at the time and it seemed to get her attention because it never happened again.I had a girlfriend that liked to sit there in '78/79. Mine must have been lighter.... LOL

How'd you manage that??? (ah I see... hood peeled back shot wasn't there yet!)
Stock pins!?My buddy killed a few hoods on his trans am and I killed one on it too! Those stupid good pins always stayed in the head light bucket area 79 ta I think between me and him we bought all trans am hoods in the area
Regarding how to fix, you need a stud gun and puller. You use the pins to pull the dents out and leave the interior in place. Once pulled out, mud it and repaint.
Do you like a vinyl top?
Sad to see on that nice car. A good body man can fix it. Hard to find a good metalworker these days. Need to remove headliner.
