Damn nice collection ! Been meaning to ask about the name. Had to be old school bmx.

Kid in the neighborhood had a skyway. I used to live about 4-5 blocks from a bad neighborhood. Kid I knew from that neck of the woods used to ride what I was pretty sure was a hot Skyway. Same year I got a bike stolen he turned up with a couple of the same parts on one of his rides....

Ah, but he was bigger than me.. and way meaner.

Just built this beauty. 2002 LeMond Tete de Course with a Titanium frame. Frame was an NOS warranty replacement... never built! Should ride like a dream.

What about the old-school "Stringray" (?) 5-speed bikes with the tiny front tire, springer front end & shocks on the sissy bar? I think they came in red/blue/green. I see guys riding them at cars shows every once in a while.

I have a few Stingrays. This is a custom built Schwinn Stingray Krate. I used a 1970 fastback frame, and the back half of an OCC Chopper frame to build it. It is painted Mopar sublime green.

I also built this 75 Stingray. I added the krate springer front end, mags,and a suicide brake. It is painted Mopar top banana yellow.

That's fantastic! I've been working on bikes almost as long as I've been riding them and I've never seen someone riding a bike they welded up themselves. Awesome.
