disc brake conversion

I went from drum to disc on my 68 roadrunner front I can pump up my brakes and have brakes let my foot off and take lid off master cylinder and watch the fluid run back into to cylinder why

Did you put a disk brake type master cylinder, and proportioning valve on ?

That will happen if the conversion is new. As the pads wear down the fluid coming back into the mc won't be as much because the fluid is now taking up space in the caliper.
