Drag cars? Anyone else have one?

Anybody else have a 66-70 drag car or good photos of any?
Here is mine...
On the track in 70's before it got named.

Then in the 80's sometime

Remember the car well. the pics are at Lubbock dragway I think that Barry Joe Adkins owened it at that time. I raced a yellow gtx then also. Yhe track is having a hard time now. Dennnis got took on a concrete job, maybe we will have a place to race again one of these days.

Glad you remember it. When I took it out to the Goodguys Ft Worth show, I had quite a few people say that they remembered it. Yes it was Barry's car and he told me a bunch of stories about the car, how he got it and some of its best times.
Here is a pic of it in front of Barry's place, at least I think its the same Barry.

The first car in my signature was purchased NEW to race and had never been titled or licensed until i bought it. It was purchased new by "just a guy that wanted to race" and seldom did. It has never been lettered, tubbed, roll barred, or cut other than the frame connectors I added to it recently.

I loved the green SS&DI 6 pack project car...the team was, I think, Struss, Stafford and Lovett?? Been about 35 years or so. That was when stock was STOCK! no headers or cheater slicks! I had a 440/375 car at the time we were building for D/SA.
HERE'S A COUPLE OF MINE. a D/S 383 '69 'Cuda and a 383 '67 Belvedere I for H/SA.

My old 64 and my old 93 both sold and I am missing them

here is a picture of my 64 and my 93 that I raced and sold....wish someone could tell me where they are at today!!

And the last picture is my latest car, last raced in the late 70's and sit inside a shop for the past 31 years. 56000 orginal miles but motor and trans long gone as well as interior....now just a old race car I am putting back together.

Ran this in the early 80's....a divorce forced the sale of it.

Bought this one turn key about 10 years ago and well, family commitments kept me from racing it. Made a few passes with it and let it go about a year later but not after running a 9.95 @ 134. The new owner got more out of it. The 68 ran a detuned 10.68 @ 126. Not too shabby for 1984 running 906 heads.
