The lights on my speedo gauge started to flicker last night. Any chance it could be a ground on that particular gauge?

Did you try moving the headlamp switch up or down (rotating)? Could be a bad spot on the headlamp switch.

Its just the speedo gauge lights that are flickering, all the others stay lit as they are supposed to

Yeah, you probably have a bad contact. Eventually it will short and may short the entire set.
