My son is an engineer for the Colorado Department of Transportation. He sent this photo to me. Guess which vehicle he drove today instead of his state-issued truck.

Hint: It's a 1971.

Is it a T/A or a R/T?

It's a base '71. We just liked the R/T stripe. I never liked the fake scoops by the rear wheels of the R/T. Running a 408 stroker small block from Blue Print. Iron heads. Someday we'll upgrade. 4-speed with a pistol-grip. It's in Sublime which is a '70 color. White bucket seat interior. 323 Sure-Grip. It's pretty quick. It was a 318 3-speed manual in primer over brown metallic when we bought it. We did the burnout at an empty parking lot at the US Air Force Academy. Do you see the B-52 at the end?

The restored '71 Charger 500 383 is damn close to being finished.
