He commuted the Traitor Coward

Who said that all democrats were communists? That is not what was said at all. I said that if you voted for a Communist then you are un-American. I saw a ton of Democrats voting for Sanders. Those are the un-Americans that I saw. Those who want free crap all the time are part of that group (the un-American group). Remember JFK saying "ask not what the country can do for you...". Well those kind of Democrats weren't the ones who voted for Sanders. I believe that Sanders would have won the Democratic nomination if not for the DNC's underhanded tricks.
So i see now, my mistake. What your saying that if you voted for the person who was registered in the Communist party and running on that ticket then your "un American" or dont love our country. You could be a democrat or a republican, i guess it does not matter. We part company on those who supported Sanders being commies, but thats a difference of opinion.

And, I must add, mentioning JFK and the
Recall on this very forum how some reacted and comments posted in the political forum when it looked like Trump would lose the election. Now i challenge anyone to look me my internet face and tell me that they would have carried on and posted derogatory comments and the like had Clinton won. Be serious please, the behavior of Trump supporters had she won would have at the very least rivaled and most likely far surpassed what we see Clinton supporters doing now. Not defending what i see Clinton supporters doing now and my post the day after the election bares me out. The fact is in my case im simply a product of my upbringing. We support the candidate of our choice and if said candidate looses we accept the new president and give him the respect of being the leader of the greatest country in the world. Its a simple concept we'd all be better off adopting.
Ok, let's say you're correct. Could you then, please, refresh my memory to a few years ago. Were there violent demonstrations & riots when Obama was elected ? Did congress people denounce/reject him as a president & refuse to attend the inauguration ? We could debate/disagree ideas, but to refuse to accept the will of the people ?

I see the point on voting for vs being communists. (By the way, I voted for Sanders in the primary and Hillary in the general election.) Sanders has more socialist values. Violent demonstrations are another thing - but the shootup in the pizza joint was also not a democrat. This is a few bad actors.

I believe that Sanders had three main kinds of supporters: those who wanted free crap, those who wanted a socialist and those who only vote for the most anti-establishment. Then there are people who vote without even thinking.

And still, democrats blindly defend & support their politicians no matter. Many republicans express their disgust on their party representatives, one of the reasons Trump was elected. As a matter of fact, the phony governor we have in NJ is republican, and he's just as bad as the garbage on the other side of the aisle.

No there were not and there wasn't any when Bush was elected either. If you go on the PF the day after the election and read my post, you will see i wished Trump well and still do. Id love nothing more then to see the country prosper in the next four years. However these demonstrations were to be expected and if Clinton won id say we'd see the same thing. I make no bones about the fact i dont like Trump but he's the president so its time to move on. It was the same BS with Obama when he won his first term. Like it or not he won many "red" states and the election wasn't even close. So what does that tell us? Tells me the people in this country wanted a leader. If we got one is not the point but what happened was Republican politicians made it there biggest priority to fight anything Obama tried to do and who suffers?
My thing is we cant go through this again. We have to stop and unite like we did after 9-11. Again im not a Trump fan but prove me wrong and nothing more will make me happy. God Bless America.

the democrats have not been for America for a long time..
the latest example is the title of this thread! LOL

I don't think it is blind defending of or blind following of candidates. There are real differences in the US and the needs of the different parts of the US.

I base my decisions on the platforms (which I went and read) and decided what would be the best for me. What is best for others is different, and that is the way they voted. This is just the way it goes.

Democrats are for America and the thread is simply reflection of a difference in how the outgoing president thought the country should be run.

Insults? It was YOU that used the term "******* fagots" and YOU telling another man to "man up" practice what you preach brother
Your right it was me i admit it but lets be honest was your post absolutely necessary. What makes you think Trump is going to share your views on LBGT issues. I honestly dont think he will.

it seems like many like to project a lot of crap and don't even give someone a chance.
i can't wait for the day to come when they have to
man up and admit they are wrong!

Necessary, no, Something I found funny, yes. And I'm sure I'm not the only one. it wasn't posted to offend you I can guarantee you that much. If it did, tough **** you're on the internet pal.

Forgive me if I'm incorrect, but doesn't the Bible say that Rain brings life back to the land? Or something like that, coincidence that it started raining when trump took the mic after being sworn In today??

Fair enough just remember that.....

You have to forgive me as i always thought we here on the FBBO were more or less a Mopar family and like some family's get into it over everything and anything. As far as "tough ****" goes, saying to me go down and riot with my buddies in DC and telling me its the internet like thats some kind of excuse is a game i dont play. But no worries its not a problem

I promise you and go ahead and make a note please thats if Trump does what he said today in his speech i will say i was wrong. My question is would you do the same. If he turns out to be just another empty shirt will you admit it or make excuses?

Mopar family definitely, politics is a whole new playing field, all bets are off! Lol no hard feelings just some political debate amongst friends.

:usflag:

nope, unlike many others i can admit when i'm wrong
i'm far from perfect.
one thing i do know is if Trump can get just 1/4 of what he says done
he will be a success...
i do think the most of our corrupt government will not cooperate with him
so he does have a lot to overcome.
and if that lack of cooperation is obvious
we are going to have some really interesting midterms coming up..

Thanks 440 and sorry for my earlier rant. So before i head out to do something really useful and important like change the pistons on my convert top let me say this. I think at times the problem is this. Do we want to see a politician whom we did not vote for succeed? Now when i say succeed i mean in the sense of the good of the country, because really isnt that the bottom line. So if Trump turns out to be a flop who wins? Can democrats now be happy that the guy screwed up and hurt the country? Wouldn't that be a lousy attitude? Its no doubt were all loyal Americans and nobody at least here on the forum hates the country or thinks getting stuff for free is acceptable but who gives a **** if the guy in the driver's seat is a democrat or republican as long as he produces and continues to keep us safe and strong.
I think President Trump is in for a awakening as far as the intelligence community and that really is my only concern with him so far. My feelings are pretty much like my elders and that is id have to a selfish SOB to want to see any president fail just because he wasn't from my political affiliation.

IMO...the intelligence apparatus is way, way out of control. How would you go about deciphering what is real and what is BS out of the overwhelming amount of crap that a president gets hit with daily. Keep in mind that like any government bureaucracy the intelligence community is, and must be to justify their budgets, a self serving business.
Before you disagree know this, my Father in law, RIP, Bart has a college roomy who is now the GUY that stands in the narrow end of the incoming intelligence funnel and sees EVERYTHING first. We have stayed in his home many times and had long discussions about this. He swears that the intel apparatus makes up about 70% of the stuff he sees daily, and about another 20% is made up by other nations intel people, leaving 10% of real, actionable in real time intel. His job is to sort all of that out. He says it gets worse every year. Bart was a spy. His roomy was a spy, and his wife was a spy but is now retired. He retires this year and cant wait.
