Hi, i have a 440 stroker and its has about 650 hp on motor and was wandering what i would be putting to the rear wheels. Just seeing if anybody has had a dyno done or something. I have a coan 727 complete manual valvebody with a coan 3500 stall and a stock driveshaft with Moser 3.91 gears in a Moser tru-trac locker and moser forged axles. Thats just a little info to help ya out on the numbers. Thanks. I had one of my buddies telling me i would be putting around 490-520 rwhp. thats a little low to me. but it may be possible etc.. any input is helpful.

Love to hear more about your 440 build as I just got the same installed in my car(not driving yet)
your going to loose 50-90 hp - from the wieght transfer and all the parts inbetween- or so ive heard

I always had heard that 75% was the ballpark figure.
(Must really suck if you have a 60 horse Volkswagen).

If you have 650 at the crank and lose 115...that's only about 17.6%....
