Trying to help a friend locate the original hemi block for this 1971 hemi charger. The last 8 on the block is 1G112626. We know from a previous owner of the car that the block was out the at least in the last 10 years.
But at that time the engine originally surfaced the car was not known.
We are almost certain that the block may have sold at an Estate auction of George Marmisch that happened in May 2017 in Greenup, KY.
If you purchased a hemi block from this auction please check and see what the vin is on it.
Pictures of the original block do exist and it is a 1-19-70 cast block. Please pm me if you have any information.
