I have had no luck selling this unusual steering column. A 1968 B Body 3 speed on the column manual steering, steering column.

So I'm going to dis-assemble this column (already started) and offer the parts from it for sale. I assume some of the parts would crossover from this column to an auto column. Anywhere from small hardware parts to shaft/wheel/housings etc.

Steering wheel is beater driver quality at best. $25.00 + shipping.

Other prices starting at $5.00 and up. I will keep up on updates as the dis-assembling process progresses, providing pics along the way.

Thanks

Was it a power steering car?
Do you have a power steering coupler from the column to the steering gearbox?

Do you have a power steering coupler from the column to the steering gearbox?

It's a 3" coupler required on cars from 1967 to 1972. 1973-74 B Body requires a 3.5" coupler.

As far as power vs standard steering couplers, I've heard both that they're the same and it doesn't matter and I've heard that the two vary between power and standard.

This is from a standard steering gear box. The coupler measures 3" in length. I can see if I can get some positive resources if there is a difference between the two.

Thanks

They are not the same on my 69 Charger, the manual box has a bigger spline diameter than the power box.
Thanks for the reply though.

Okay good to know for future reference, thanks. Sorry I couldn't help.

How much for the rubber firewall gasket?

There was no rubber gasket when I removed this column. If you're referring to the Styrofoam gasket, that was disintegrated upon removal.

Thanks for replying.

Okay I have done a tear down of this steering column here are some pics.

Gear shift lever housing (red primer) has been sold.

Lower bearing white plastic is disintegrating, probably not worth using but maybe the OEM bolts.

Steering coupler is for standard steering box.

Nut spins on shaft thread w/o any problem.

Please ask of any question of any of these parts big or small.

Thanks
