I currently have a 340 in my Charger, I recently purchased a 440 that needs lots of TLC. Would the starter that I have work for the 440? What information should I look for on the current starter and (if need be) the new one?

By the way, I'm not very mechanical.

Thanks,
Chad

The surest way to tell is to go to a supply house online and see if the number for a starter for both size engines is the same part number. I don't think their interchangeable due to the number of teeth on the flywheel.

Good idea, thanks.
