I recently just replaced my stock steering wheel with a aftermarket wood grain rally steering wheel, on my 1969 Dodge Coronet 500 convertible. There seems to be a larger than expected gap from behind the steering wheel to the column. My question is, would a 1970 plastic filler work made purposely for this steering wheel but just not for my year?

Is it a stock column ? "aftermarket wood grain rally" doesn't supply sufficient info about the steering wheel itself . Perhap pics ?

No it won't fit, it is larger diameter than your column.
