Not much of a forum guy, but the people that I have been building cars for say I need to post pictures of what I am building and stuff I own. So here it goes.
My first car (which I still own) is a 1968 Dodge Charger original 383 4 speed car with GG1 green paint, white interior and white top. I paid $80 for it in 1984 with the engine in the trunk and the transmission on the front seat. I had no idea what I was getting into, but after 40 years of ownership, it has been restored to my taste. It has a 500 inch wedge 12 to 1/2 compression full solid roller engine with a 4 speed and gear vendor overdrive.
It has a Dana 60 rear end 4.10 gears with 4 wheel disc brakes. The suspension QA1 tubular arms and 4 valve QA1 shocks. The Charger will be converted to a 426 Hemi this summer. I have just about completed the Hemi and hope to be on the dyno in a couple of weeks. It is a hydraulic roller engine with electronic Hilborn injection. I also have a 1948 Plymouth Gasser with a 392 Hemi with a Don Hampton 871 blower and it is also equipped with a G Force 4 speed manual trans and Dana 60 rear end with 5.13. In my spare time I am the chief mechanic and driver of Don Hampton front engine top fuel dragster. It's a lot of fun, but dangerous and scary having a nitro breathing 60's hemi in front of you.
Thanks

Welcome from 5 hours north of you. I recognize the push truck in the first photo. Used to live in SD county for 22 years. Is it still owned by Holly? If you don't already know, big show in Van Nuys 2nd to the last weekend. Spring Fling. Mopars only. Show, swap, cruise.

Nice Charger. See you at Spring Fling, Van Nuys.

Nice rides !!!

make sure to check out the Racers Hangout
or Resto-Mod & Pro-Touring forums here too,
should be right up your alley

welcome to FBBO some ways, way North & East of you,
NorCal Sierras, Tuolumne Co. a few ridges over from Yosemite

Welcome aboard from a fellow 68 Charger owner. Nice car. My brother bought one new in 68 with the 383 4 speed. They were pretty rare. I think one of 157 or something like that. Way more rare than my 68 R/T.

Welcome from Alabama, great looking Charger, the best year IMO.

Welcome - I’m just down the street from you in Aliso Viejo. Where were you when I still owned my 68 X of 48 years. I sold a few years ago because it seemed the Mopar contingent here was so weak - unlike my hometown of Mpls. I could never find a decent shop and not really a show goer those I went to were mostly GM/Ford snobs that wouldn’t even acknowledge a Mopar guy. More to it - but disenchanted I finally sold the car to a life long friend back in Mpls. Wish I would have known you then.

BTW - Really sweet Charger!

Welcome from about 30 minutes away in Foothill Ranch.
I lived in HB for a long time, spent many days fishing off that pier, and Newport Pier.

Let's meet up at Donut Shop or Cars and Coffee in San Clemente some time.
There's a few of us Mopar Addicts that go to Cars & Coffee all the time, just went there this past SAT.

Nice Charger ride you have there, great color and hope to see you out in it one day.

Stay safe in that Rail Rocket !!

Last PIC, some guys in trucks messing around, might have been a malted beverage involved... !!

Another guy I wished I’d known of earlier.. pls see post #15. Cars n Coffee at that donut shop? Never went but heard of it. Went to San Clemente a few times and the old Laguna Hills mall. Maybe I just didn't try hard enough…. The pic is from Street Machines National in Mpls last summer - My buddy took 1st place in whatever class he was in. I miss the car but not the hassles I endured with it out here.
