I've seen a couple of our members comment on Shelby Lancers. So, here's one for those so inclined.

The 1979 Chrysler Cordoba was considered to be one of the most Classy and Luxurious cars to be offered by Chrysler in all of the 1970's.

1979 was to be the very last model year to be built on the B-Body platform.

The first generation Chrysler Cordoba started production in 1974 for the 1975 model year and ended w/ the 1979 model year.

1979 was not only the last year of production for the first generation Cordoba's but it was also the lowest production year
for them as well at approximately 73,000 built.

This particular '79 Cordoba came from the factory in the very pretty Regeat Red Metallic w/ matching Red cloth bucket seats.

It sold new here in Oklahoma City and I bought it from the original owners estate and the mileage showing is believed to be the accurate and true mileage.

This Beautiful Cordoba doesn't have any rust issues what so ever and appears to have never had any body damage of any kind.

Before I bought the car it had sat for a few years and I think the fuel pump is bad. I never cared to fix it because I had always planned on putting a 440 in it.

The car is being offered/sold as is in non-running condition.

Wow. usually they want that for a fender.
 
That Lancer is pretty cool - they built 400 auto/leather, and 400 stick/cloth. Repainted, the body decals are missing. Looks like a fabricated intake; probably big turbo and intercooler. They can be VERY fast (as in, 10s) when done correctly. All forged bottom end from the factory, and a NON-interference motor (timing belt brakes, nothing hits - it just stops. Re-time, put a new belt on, and drive). Trans should be a Getrag close ratio 5 speed, very stout.

I used to have an auto/leather one. Shelby put the fast-ratio steering rack in 'em, along with Monroe Formula GP shocks and struts, lowering springs, and upsized 4 wheel disc brakes. They handled GREAT. And with that forged bottom end, you can pump all sorts of boost through 'em - 30+psi, with the right amount of fuel, is no problem.

Fun cars, and a genuine Shelby car. Title should say "Shelby", not "Dodge", as Carroll bought "bodies in white" from Mopar, put his performance upgrades in 'em, the appearance kit (special steering wheel, signed dash plaque with the car number on it, ground effects, decals which are missing from the one in that ad, wheels and tires - also missing from the car in the ad, but the ones on it are close to what the originals looked like), and a Pioneer DEX-77 stereo system, and re-MSO'd them as Shelby's.

I went to see it this morning. As far as sheet metal, it needs everything but a roof. But lots of usable parts on both cars. Not to mention the trailer comes with it.

Just saw this 4-door on my local craigslist $5,500

1973 Dodge Coronet - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle automotive...

‘73 Dodge Coronet, Custom 4door sedan, with immaculate leather interior, immaculate vinyl roof, 54k miles, garage stored. Recent work performed, 3 freeze plugs replaced, electronic fuel pump, tires good condition, checked for head gasket, ok. Starts right up. Needs fuel gushed as doesn’t work, also small leak in fuel line, suspect rubber hose which was replaced 1year ago. Timing chain/water pump cover corrosion evident. Electric windows, ac and am/fm radio.
