They Just Do Not Make Them Like They Used To...

Was that the extremely rare "Petty Blue" Model A?

Since you mentioned Ford, I know from professional research that in 2008 Ford ranked 21st out of 23 OEM manufacturers selling vehicles in the US as far as Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) -- they sucked!! In 2010 they somehow managed to rise to #2. My friend (a mobile mechanic) has a 2018 Fusion in for an ungodly noise. Did a check on recalls & TSBs, and it was around 500 pages!! Apparently Ford had a brief moment in the spotlight as being perceived as "quality". Personally, the newest vehicle I own is 1995 -- Jeep Grand Cherokee (which I consider a Mopar).

Hyundai and Kia... 'nuff said. Substitute "garbage" and "trash" and it's the same. And you can put the GM-Daewoo junk in there as well.
