What is show-n-shine?

I was reading the schedule for the Reno Hot August Nights events and see what I believe is some kind of car show called "show-n-shine". What are they talking about, sorry, I never heard of it before. Thank you.

And run a rag over your car to get all the dust off. It just sounds like something you'd do at the car wash.

It's a term widely used for "park and sit" car shows....no awards, no prizes, just hang out talk cars and tell stories/lies to one another.

Any car shows/ cruises down LaPaz way?
